OBD-Amigos - OBD Diagnostics Software for the VW e-up!, Skoda CITIGOe iV, Seat Mii electric

OBD Amigos is a graphical monitoring and diagnostics software for the VW e-up! (both the old 18,7 kWh version and the new 36,8 kWh version), Skoda CITIGOe iV and Seat Mii electric. It's written in Perl and runs on Linux, including Raspberry Pi based Linux devices.

Hardware requirements:

a PC or laptop or tablet or other device running Linux with a X11 based GUI
a screen with a resolution of at least 1280x800 pixels, 1440x900 recommended, touchscreens are supported
an ELM327 compatible OBDII adapter, preferably USB, but bluetooth adapters can be used too

Updates:

To update OBD Amigos use the included 'update' script from a Terminal. Just change into the obd_amigos folder and launch the script as follows:

cd ~/obd_amigos
sh update

This will download any files that have a newer timestamp (except the obd_amigos.ini configuration file to avoid overwriting your configuration).

Is it normal that the radio switches itself on when pressing "Get Car Info" in OBD Amigos?

Yes, that's normal. When entering extended diagnostics mode the control unit of the radio switches on the radio. It will switch itself off again after a few seconds. (this only applies to MY 2017 and newer)
Why is the application called "OBD Amigos"?

"OBD" stands for "on board diagnostics" and "Amigos" was chosen as it sounds similar to Up-Mii-Go, i.e. the slightly shortened model names of the three cars this application is made for.
